Each puppy is vaccinated, de-wormed and vet checked. Potty training begins at 4 weeks. Socialization begins at birth. Our puppies have a lot of interaction with children. Each puppy goes home with an AKC Limited Registration or Breeding Rights. AKC papers are completed at the pick up of puppy. It is important to get on the waiting list to save your new baby. No deposit necessary, just an approved application. Guardianship opportunities are available. Ask for more details if you are interested?
Puppy Application
Our next litter will be ready July 2024. If you are interested in a puppy complete the puppy application below and email, call or text me your answers. You will be placed on a waiting list with the approval of your puppy application. Transportation by flight can be arranged with flight cost and airplane approved kennel tacked onto the total. A contract will be emailed for you to complete if you are interested in purchasing a puppy. No reservation fee needed and the total cost will be paid when you pick up your puppy unless the puppy is flown to your location. In this case, all paperwork and fees will be completed a week before the flight. Photos and videos will be sent to you frequently until you pick up your puppy.
Guardian Family Option
At Foothills Retrievers, we believe every dog should be raised in a loving home and being a Guardian Family is an excellent way to welcome a beautiful Light Golden Retriever into your forever family! Since we do not kennel dogs, to continue our breeding program we rely on trustworthy, caring individuals who are selected to participate in our Guardian Program. This ensures that all of our future breeding dogs will be raised as a family member in a loving home environment. The adoption fee is reduced to $200 for Guardian Families. Your puppy is the first female “pick of the litter” and in exchange, we retain breeding rights for the life of the Guardian Contract. Each time she has a liter you will be gifted $1000 in appreciation for allowing your female to participate in our Guardian Program, which is no more than 3 breedings. For the birth of each litter, females return to Foothills Retrievers for 7 weeks. Guardian Families are welcome to come visit while the puppies are growing. A male is also an option for the Guardian Family program. The family needs to be within two hours of our home. I will pick up the sire for each breeding and gift you $150 each breeding. As a Guardian Family, you will be responsible for the dog’s well-being including vet care, immunizations, socialization, proper diet, exercise… and most importantly, lots of love! Any costs related to breeding will be the responsibility of Foothills Retrievers. If the dog does not pass her/his health clearances, she will be spayed or neutered at the Guardian’s expense and retired from our breeding program. After the dog is finished with his/her breeding career, she will be spayed at the expense of Foothills Retrievers and the dog will continue living out the rest of his/her life with their Guardian Family.
